The "Free City" of Farrun

FARRUN, HIGHROCK - Local governor of Farrun, and opponent of "Government Overreach," Anton Direnna continues to create policies towards his stated goal of creating the "Free City of Farrun." His initiatives include implementing a review board to fight indoctrination in school houses that must approve school books before their use in lessons to students. Books removed were said to contain histories of Direnni enslavement of the local human population, or acknowledge the lasting repercussions of Direnni rule on the common Breton population. He has routinely rounded up refugees in Farrun from the Skyrim civil war and relocated them to other High Rock cities. He claims the refugees are prone to violence and theft, both of which he says "have no place in my city." As a highly contagious plague swept through western High Rock, Direnna refused to require the sick to quarantine, and also tried to discredit well known High Rock alchemists who developed a curative to reduce the plagues mortality rate. Going so far as to suggest the alchemists had some hand in creating the plague in the first place. Pushback to these policies has been low, but some attribute that to a crackdown of dissenting voices by the local guard.

While not completely immune from the effects of said policies, his supporters continue to take a "it hurts the people I don't like" mindset and continue to rally behind him. Some even calling for his kingship.
