Geographic Illiteracy on the Rise
IMPERIAL CITY, CYRODIIL—According to a new report released Fredas by the Imperial Geographical Society, 97% of adults between the ages of 35 and 100 were unable to locate Yokuda on a blank map. Even fewer citizens could pinpoint the elven homeland of Aldmeris. It’s truly an embarrassing revelation.
Those surveyed within specific provinces didn’t fair much better. When inhabitants of Morrowind were given only two choices, no consensus could be reached on whether Ebonheart was located on the mainland or on the island of Vvardenfell. I guess that should come as no surprise since those very same people spent years debating whether the city of Necrom was situated on a peninsula or an isthmus.
The most shocking part of the report, however, was the inability of citizens of Tamriel to identify the location of the Imperial City, which we all know is nestled within the endless jungles of Cyrodiil.
